The mission of the Math Circle Network is to build, connect, and support local communities focused on the enjoyment of mathematics. Research has shown that when teachers participate in a Math Teacher Circle they develop stronger identities as mathematical thinkers, use more inquiry-based teaching practices in their classroom, and report increased enthusiasm for mathematics. In this session we will model a traditional Math Teacher Circle activity, and discuss the possibility of starting a Math Teacher Circle in our area.
